This weekend iOS 7.0.6 was launched by Apple to fix the breach in security and Apple users can simply log onto the internet and go into their settings and upgrade their devices. If this doesn’t work, you can always open your iTunes account and click “Check for Update” and this should bring up the latest version. This is important to do for both your device security and your network protection.
There is also a new update for 3GS and the fourth generation iPods.
What is iOS? iOS is the foundation of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.
Why should you update to iOS 7? Apple releases updates all the time. With this latest update, you really should rush to download it immediately.
If you go to apple.com and watch the video in their “What’s New” section, you are left thinking that this new update is awesome, and it is. They have redesigned a bunch of features causing it to look much more simplistic and beautiful. You might even notice that there almost a 3-D aspect as the icons seem to float on your wallpaper. The software engineer on their cheery video explains that the locked screen gives you a lot more options, and that the system is much more intuitive, constantly keeping your most used apps updated and running in the background for ease of use.
Behind their sunny video lies a different reason to update your iPhone: HUGE security risks. Hackers have the ability to view your screen on your device, your passcode, and even read your Gmail account. As a user who personally looks up my banking information on my iPhone, I cannot tell you how quickly I installed this update. I suggest that you too, install the update immediately for your network protection.
Should you have any questions regarding how to update your iPhone, iPad, iPod, or Mac, I suggest this video from Youtube. (He is covering an older update, however the install method is the same)
